Short Sale: Chase will work with you to avoid foreclosure even after a foreclosure sale date is set. You will be asked to complete a Request for Mortgage Assistance form after you call to discuss your options. Your real estate agent will send a listing agreement to Chase, and once an offer is received, Chase will review it for short sale approval. The commissions for your agent and the buyer’s agent will be paid by Chase after closing.

Timeline: The average short sale is completed between 4 to 6 months depending on many factors.
